How do I register?
To register, complete the online registration form on our website here.
When does registrations close?
To attend the conference virtually, register before Friday 29 April 2022 AEST.
What is included in the registration fee?
Registration fees include access to registered conference sessions and workshops and access to conference materials.

What does a virtual registration mean?
We are excited to offer the 2022 conference as our first virtual conference! This means that we will be offering attendance online only.
By virtually attending the conference this means that you get to watch and participate in conference sessions from the comfort of your own home! You will still be able to participate in live question and answer segments and gain all the same insights for sessions and workshops without having to be a venue.
Can I organise a watch party and have multiple people watch on one screen?
To be an official attendee for the event each person attending must complete a registration form in their name and officially register as a delegate. Registrations may not be shared with any other person/s and cannot be used to log in on multiple devices.
As a registered attendee you will receive online access to all online conference sessions, online access to conference materials, a delegate satchel posted to your nominated address (when register by 11 March 2022) and on demand post event access to all online conference sessions for three (3) months.
We recommend to be able to get the most out of the conference and workshops that each individual is a registered attendee.
Registration Changes and Cancellation
I can no longer attend the conference, can I get a refund?
Cancellations must be notified in writing to Kirsty.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Before or on 28th of January 2022 will incur an A$150.00 cancellation fee.
Before or on 28th of March 2022 will receive a 50% refund of fees paid.
After 28th of March 2022 there will be no refund.
This cancellation and refund policy is applicable to fee paying attendees only and excludes registrations provided on a complimentary basis or as part of a grant as there has been no financial exchange between the attendee and CREATE Foundation.
I received a grant and can no longer attend the conference
If you have received a grant to attend the conference please notify CREATE in writing to Kirsty.email@example.com as soon as reasonably practicable with an explanation of why you can no longer attend so that we can allocate these funds to another young person.
There is no financial reimbursement upon cancellation for registrations and/or travel entitlements booked and provided by CREATE Foundation as part of a grant.
I can no longer attend the conference, can someone else take my place?
Absolutely! If you are not able to attend the event, you may nominate a substitute delegate up to 7 (seven) days prior to commencement of the event at no additional charge.
Thereafter substitutions are subject to availability and an additional processing fee of $75 per substitution shall apply. To notify a substitution, send the name and email address of the replacement delegate to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have received a grant, these cannot be automatically substituted and transferred to another young person and/or carer by your request. You must notify CREATE in writing to Kirsty.email@example.com as soon as practicable with an explanation of why you can no longer attend the Conference to cancel the grant so that CREATE and allocate the funds to another applicant.
I registered for the full conference, can I change to a single day?
Regrettably there are no single day options for the conference. Registrations allow access to the full conference with the ability to watch the session on demand after the event for up to three (3) months.
Young Person Grants – Eligibility and Applications
What do grants cover?
Grants cover the total cost of registration to virtually attend the conference.
Who can apply for a grant?
Grants allow young people aged 12-25 with a care experience the chance to attend this life-changing conference. Selection criteria applies. To find out if you are eligible, check out the selection criteria on the website here.
If you are under the age of 18 you will need to have your Parent/Foster Carer/Guardian with legal responsibility sign the form.
If I am over 18 can I apply for a grant?
Yes! Any youth with a care experience between 12 and 25 years old can apply for a grant to attend the conference.

When do submissions close?
Grant submissions close Friday 7th January 2022, 5pm AEST.
How will I know if I received a grant?
CREATE will notify successful applicants by phone in February and March.
If I receive a grant, can I have my carer join me?
CREATE has limited funds and only a small number of young people from each state are able to attend. Therefore, we request that for those young people under 18 years requiring a carer/worker to accompany them that the worker/carer seek other sources of funding to enable them to accompany the young person. CREATE does realise that sometimes this is not possible, and will consider requests for adults unable to secure funding from other sources although places are very limited.
If I don’t receive a grant, can I still attend the conference?
Yes! You can still attend the conference if you do not receive a grant. You will need to register and pay the registration fee through the online form here. If you are unable to register online please contact us for further assistance.
What is the program for the conference?

Please note that the program is correct at the time of publishing. The organizers reserve the right to delete, modify or alter items from the program or to delete, modify or alter any aspect of the Conference timetabling and delivery at their sole discretion and without notice. CREATE Foundation will not accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience caused to any party consequent to such changes.

How do I access the virtual portal to join the conference online?
All virtual attendees will receive an email with log in details to access the virtual portal 7 days prior to the start of the conference.
We recommend logging in once you receive these details to get familiar with the platform and ensure you do not have any technical difficulties. Please ensure you are using Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari browsers to access the portal as it will not work in Internet Explorer.
I am joining the conference virtually, how do I connect with other attendees?
We understand that you are eager to connect with others during the conference. Regrettably due to privacy act and regulations we are unable to facilitate online connection with others.
Are the sessions recorded to watch later?
All sessions that are streamed will be recorded and made available for viewing for 90 days post the Conference through the virtual portal.
Please note, recordings are subject to privacy and permissions. This may result in some speakers not being recorded and available on demand.
