If you get stuck, ask your carer/worker or a CREATE staff member for help. You can contact CREATE Foundation in your State or Territory on 1800 655 105 or email conference@create.org.au
You can apply for both the Travel and Accommodation Grant and the Conference Registration Grant. However, please note, only young people that live 60 minutes or more away from the Daring Convention Centre are eligible to apply for the Travel and Accommodation Grant. If you live within 60 minutes of the Darwin Convention Centre and need help with transport, please include this in your application form under support needs.
Everyone attending the conference must have a paid registration. If you are able to purchase a ticket for your friend or sibling, they are able to attend. If you are unable to purchase a ticket, unfortunately they cannot attend.

If you have other support needs, such as wheelchair access, sensory considerations, support with hearing or vision, assistance with mobility, or any other needs to ensure you are able to fully participate, you can reference these in your application form. This helps CREATE plan and make sure you are supporting at the conference.
If your application is successful, we will send you an information pack that will include recommendations for items to bring such as: clothes appropriate for the Darwin climate, toiletries, sensory items, swimming costumes/togs, comfortable shoes, medication etc.
You can still apply for a grant even if you have received a grant to attend a previous CREATE Conference. However, spaces are limited and we want as many young people to participate as possible.
If you are successful, you are expected to:
We’d love to see as many young people as possible at the conference! If you are unsuccessful in your grant application, we encourage you to contact your agency, or other support networks, to see if they can help with funding.
All applicants will be told whether their application was successful or not. Please note that late applications unfortunately cannot be considered. CREATE will advise you of your outcome by Friday, 24 April 2026.
