At CREATE, we run all kinds of events across Australia just for young people in care.
From big celebrations to fun activities and workshops, everything we do is driven by what you want to get involved in. It’s a chance to meet other young people, have a great time, and be part of something that’s really yours - all for you and always free!

Voices in Action provides a truly unique opportunity for decision-makers to hear directly from young people, learn from their insights, experiences and expertise, and work alongside them to strengthen policy, practice and systems across Victoria and nationally.
The event will center around the simple question of: What do children and young people need to thrive while they're in care and beyond, and what can we do to make that happen?

Transition to Adulthood Month (T2A Month) is a Queensland initiative that shines a spotlight on the experiences of young people transitioning from out-of-home care and encourages communities, organisations and services to come together to support better outcomes.
Throughout the month, CREATE will host and promote events, resources, stories and opportunities that help young people prepare for life after care and connect with the supports available to them.
Whether you're a young person, carer, practitioner, service provider, government agency or community organisation, T2A Month is your chance to be part of the conversation and help create positive pathways into adulthood.
Victoria: Thursday, 1 October 2026
South Australia: Wednesday, 4 November 2026
Each October, CREATE hosts Leaving Care Expos in South Australia and Victoria, bringing together young people aged 15–25 with a care experience and the services, supports, and opportunities that can help them confidently transition to adulthood.
Designed with direct input from young people, the expos go beyond information stalls to create an engaging, practical experience. Attendees can connect with organisations offering support with housing, education, employment, health, finances, legal services, and more, while also taking part in hands-on activities, workshops, and wellbeing experiences.

Each year, CREATEcelebrates World Care Day – the world’s biggest celebration of children and young people with a care experience. It’s a day to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and highlight the strengths and achievements of young people in care.

Scotland, and Become in the UK, Voices from Care in Wales, Fepa in Spain, Fice in Croatia, Voyce in New Zealand and CREATE in Australia all working together to promote conversations about young people defying the odds and succeeding in their own right.
